Software Engineering Intern - Wallet Core (Winter 2027)

BitGo is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Wallet Core Team and help us build an API -first platform for businesses and developers to launch crypto products.

About our stack:

• Frontend - React, NextJS
• Backend - Kotlin, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Typescript
• DevOps - Kubernetes, Docker, AWS

Responsibilities:

• Build and implement APIs, libraries, and services to support our API-first platform
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to BitGo policies
• Contribute to exposing and documenting functionality for the UI, internal tools, and third-party developers
• Collaborate with teammates to support the development and shipping of new features
• Help ensure applications are performant, high quality, and responsive
• Debug issues, troubleshoot problems, and assist in fixing bugs
• Explore and learn new technologies to improve development practices
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality
• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand product requirements and translate them into technical tasks

Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Fluency in at least one modern backend programming language
• Comfortable working full-stack
• Solid engineering fundamentals and passion for high quality code
• Product intuition, user empathy, ability to make sound UX decisions
• Strong work ethic
• Interest in crypto and blockchain preferred

If you will be working from Canada: the current target rate for 2027 interns in Canada is $60 CAD per hour. If the market indicates this needs to change, we would share this with you during your interview process.
