THE OPPORTUNITY:
We’re seeking a Head of M&A to join our firm. You will be responsible for supporting our portfolio companies in evaluating their exit strategies including, but not limited to, M&A and IPO, as well as preparing and coaching them throughout the M&A lifecycle. You will also refer our portfolio company to select transaction advisors in our network. The right candidate will be a strong source of support for our portfolio companies in negotiations, assisting them to achieve favorable terms and maximize value for their shareholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare companies for exit, both the process and what they need to have in place in their own businesses before starting a process
- Keep companies up to speed on current market conditions as well as provide an outlook on how the markets are expected to go, as it relates to potential exit considerations.
- Track portfolio company progress and proactively identify and approach those portfolio companies which are on their path to exit through M&A or IPO and provide support to manage the exit process.
- Build strong rapport with relevant buyers and listing places.
- Provide deep understanding of what buyers in our industry are looking for, M&A market dynamics & best practices to inform our founders and BITKRAFT partners
- Develop and deploy a robust acquisition pipeline process, leveraging our network of M&A advisors.
- Communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers.
- Collaborate closely with portfolio companies to understand their growth objectives, market positioning, and strategic priorities.
- Evaluate financial statements & results, budgets, and forecasts in order to recommend appropriate strategic and other financing solutions to portfolio companies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential partners and founders. Negotiate M&A deals and manage due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure M&A compliance.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on M&A initiatives.

- Passion for and great understanding of startups and venture capital—a foundation in startups is helpful to build credibility in working with founders
- Deep knowledge of and passion for the games and interactive entertainment sectors (including working experience in the industry)
- Strong understanding of M&A principles, financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and transaction structuring.
- Extensive transaction experience, including documented history of achieving favorable deal terms, maximizing valuation, and mitigating risks through effective negotiation and deal structuring strategies.
- Established network with founders and investors in the venture capital ecosystem and in particular in gaming and entertainment
- Candid and clear communication, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strategic mindset with strong quantitative and analytical thinking as well as great attention to detail: analytical, fact-driven yet pragmatic working style
- Demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile for new opportunities, portfolio companies, and other projects to score a big win for BITKRAFT
- Proven ability to lead and drive multiple projects at once, while adding creative ideas
- Dedication to our existing portfolio of companies and desire to proactively provide support for them
- Strong deal and commercial judgment, financial modeling, and research skills
- Team-oriented attitude and familiarity and passion for working in distributed teams and in remote working environments

- Language Skills: Excellent English, both spoken and written
- Location: Major city in the Western Hemisphere
- The position will require travel
