Portfolio Role: Public Relations Manager

Fully remote, based between Pacific Time Zone (Los Angeles, U.S.) and GMT+3 (Istanbul)

THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a savvy PR Manager to join our team! As our Public Relations Manager, you’ll ideally have experience in managing communication strategies, press, and building a strong reputation across the gaming industry. You will collaborate with developers, marketers, and media to generate excitement for releases, manage press relationships, and organize events such as game previews and launches. You will support influencer outreach and lead crisis communications as needed. The ideal candidate is someone who can collaborate at all levels, influence others, and operate in a fast-paced environment.


IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Organize and lead media tours, and communication relations initiatives.
  • Manage media relations, including press conferences, new product launches, and global promotional events.
  • Train the developers to be the face and voice of our game across social media platforms, forums, and other community spaces.
  • Oversee crisis, internal, and corporate communications, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
  • Partner and refine executive scripts, keynote speeches, presentations, and media briefings.
  • Strategize and help create launch communication strategy and positioning.
  • Create a tactical communication plan and rollout for maximum impact and engagement.
  • Work with and facilitate press relationships.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 7+ years of experience in public relations management in the gaming industry.
  • Proven expertise in narrative development and messaging for consumer brands, technology, gaming, retail.
  • Strong experience in media training for executives, employees, and partners.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting integrated communication strategies across digital and traditional media channels.
  • Familiarity with coordinating large-scale events and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to authentically engage with a broad audience.

 

PLUSES

  • Advanced knowledge of brand communications, crisis management, and customer engagement.
  • Hands-on experience with social platforms and influencer/ streamer management.
  • Familiarity with Discord, Reddit, Steam, and other gaming community platforms.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills for a variety of audiences and formats.
  • Experience working on competitive shooter or hero shooter games.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing and building relationships with streamers and content creators.
