About This Position 

We are looking for a UI Developer to join our growing team! 

Our ideal candidate is curious, always looking for new ways to solve problems, and has the aptitude to implement complex technologies quickly and effectively. In addition, you are collaborative and can make a well-rounded contribution to the team. 

You will design, build, and support intuitive, easy-to-use cross platform, browser-based interfaces. The UI Developer position is accountable for the delivery and support of user interfaces that deliver secure, accessible, compliant, easy to understand experiences that interact with Bitwerx data. Responsible for managing and maintaining cross platform browser consistency and support. Using UI/UX best practices to ensure modern, consistent interfaces. 

Start off at the end of 2024 by supporting an existing application in Angular. Work to redesign the solution in 2025 by collaborating with teams using your sense of best-in-class UI design and platform. This is an exciting opportunity to build a frontend for manual and machine learning workflows. 

This is a full-time position out of our Lexington, KY office and can be on-site, hybrid, or remote. If remote, you can expect to visit the office for new hire orientation and typically for team meetings once a quarter. 

 

What You'll Do: 

• Develop and support browser-based user interfaces for products used by clients and internal teams 

• Build storyboards to conceptualize designs and convey project plans to clients and management 

• Monitor trends in UI development and advocate for technology standards and best practices 

• Collaborate with management, commercial, product, and development teams to understand and achieve company objectives 

• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies 

 

What We're Looking For: 

• Proven experience in React, NextJS, Angular 

• Solid opinions and experience regarding frontend frameworks and styling approaches  

• UX process, wireframing, and prototyping skills 

• UI interactions with REST API 

• Long term support and maintenance of frontend applications 

• Experience with cloud-based data technologies (Azure preferred) 

• Experience with source control tools (Git preferred) 

• Working experience in Agile Scrum environments 

• A passion for learning and keeping up to date with the latest tools and technologies 

• A strong work ethic and attention to detail 

 

Bonus points for:  

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject 

• Proficiency in many popular Javascript frontend frameworks 

• Experience with Azure Active Directory authentication 

• Experience with Microsoft Blazer and C# 

• Experience in support and user documentation 

• Experience in dental, logistics, hospitality, or other vertical markets
