About the job

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying the best local restaurants—and their key decision makers—to bring onto the Blackbird platform. You will manage a robust sales pipeline, and will partner with Sales leadership to hit Blackbird’s ambitious quarterly and yearly restaurant acquisition goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, contact, and qualify the best restaurants to build out Blackbird’s restaurant side of the marketplace
  • Develop breakthrough creative and effective messaging to hook new restaurants and move potential customers through the funnel
  • Own cold outreach via phone and email. Tactfully and relentlessly follow up with potential restaurant partners and keep tabs on where everyone stands
  • Support senior leadership in developing key go-to-market strategies and tactics to build Blackbird in different markets
  • Stay organized, and keep those around you organized on progress

Minimum qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Creative problem solver and determined achiever
  • You’ve been told you’re “a people person”
  • Experience in or love for local food culture/hospitality is a plus
  • Experience using CRM programs is a plus
  • Desire to learn and grow in the sales field
  • Appetite for an exciting, fast-paced startup culture

  • You’re relentlessly optimistic about the future and determined to get there. 
  • You can pivot on the fly. You’re not looking for a boring job.
  • You want the ball. Our teams ship high caliber work on tight timelines, usually starting from scratch. Owning a problem doesn’t scare you.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 OTE
