About the Job
As a Market General Manager, you will be in charge of shaping and leading your city(ies) to success, delivering an amazing experience for restaurants while building a financially sustainable business as part of our expansion strategy. You will have leadership of your market in collaboration with our product and business efforts, build a high performance team of go-to-market operators across Sales, Onboarding & Account Management, and develop aggressive business unit goals and KPIs to keep us moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Own the market and lead your cross functional team to achieve market-specific P&L, OKR and KPIs aligned to Blackbird’s growth strategy
- Launch and scale our market into a high performance operating unit
- Hire, develop and lead a world-class team of builders and owners who know the market inside and out — this team will include SMB sales, onboarding, and account management
- Work closely with product, engineering, strategy, and marketing teams to drive in-market alignment with our mission, values, and strategic goals
- Be Blackbird’s biggest champion, selling into restaurants and clearing a path to closed wins across the market
Requirements
- 5+ years of cross-functional leadership and management experience
- Prior experience as an operator in a high-growth, marketplace business
- Prior investment banking, consulting or similarly analytical professional service experience
- Experience drumming up new business and making partnership deals
- Strong analytics and business presentation skills
Nice to Haves
- MBA or Masters Degree in Mathematics, Finance or Business preferred; equivalent undergrad + significant relevant professional experience also qualifies
- Prior P&L ownership for a market, tech product or service
- Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, or a deep knowledge of the local restaurant market and F&B culture
- Interest in serving up a game-changing loyalty platform for the best restaurants

Pay Transparency Notice & Benefits
Depending on your work location and experience the target annual salary for this position is: $200,000 USD. This does not include the variable or equity components of the overall compensation package. Disclosure in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law.
Full time offers from Blackbird may also include stock options, benefits (including medical, dental, vision, flexible time off, 401(k)), and some not-so-standard, extra-fun perks — subject to applicable taxes and based on eligibility.
