Position Summary
Blackbird Health is seeking independently licensed therapists to support our patients during the summer months. This flexible seasonal opportunity is designed to meet increased patient demand, with a focus on after-school, evening, and weekend virtual therapy availability.
As a Summer Therapist, you will provide evidence-based telehealth therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults while working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary pediatric behavioral health team.

Fully remote opportunities are available, with optional hybrid and in-person opportunities for clinicians interested in onsite care.

How You'll Make an Impact
Deliver High-Quality Therapy
- Provide individual telehealth therapy sessions for youth ages 2–26.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Support Family Engagement
- Partner with families and caregivers to improve understanding, treatment engagement, and long-term outcomes.
Drive Clinical Outcomes
- Monitor patient progress toward established goals.
- Adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate to support continued growth and success.
Collaborate Across Teams
- Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, intake providers, and administrative teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
Maintain Clinical Excellence
- Complete timely, accurate documentation.
- Maintain high-quality clinical records and ongoing communication with patients and families.
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted license in at least one U.S. state as one of the following:
- LPC
- LCSW
- LMFT
- PsyD or PhD
- LSW
- LMSW
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and adolescents
- Reliable phone, computer, and high-speed internet connection
- Availability for a minimum of 8 hours per week during core service hours:
- Monday–Friday after 3:00 PM ET
- Weekends between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM ET
Preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of telehealth or virtual care experience

Compensation
$70–$100 per hour, depending on licensure, experience, and market.
Potential for Ongoing Employment
Providers participating in the Summer Core Hours Program may be considered for ongoing part-time, full-time, or 1099 opportunities with Blackbird Health following the summer program. Consideration will be based on performance, scheduling availability, organizational needs, and business demand.
