Policy Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and analysis on Medicaid and CHIP programs, including federal and state regulations, funding mechanisms, and program performance.
- Evaluate the impact of existing and proposed policies on stakeholders, including beneficiaries, providers, and government agencies.
- Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, white papers, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to Medicaid and CHIP at the federal and state levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, program managers, and external partners, to develop evidence-based policy solutions.
- Support the development of grant proposals, funding applications, and advocacy materials.
- Stay current on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in health policy and public health programs.
- Provide technical assistance and policy expertise to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Required qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in public policy, public health, health policy, political science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience conducting policy research and analysis related to Medicaid or CHIP.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid and CHIP program structures, financing, and policy challenges.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with federal and state legislative processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Stata, or similar).

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and location. The targeted range for this position is $80,000 - $130,000.
