Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in the creation of the annual operating plan for Black Duck. Success will require the Financial Analyst to collaborate with the leadership teams as well as with other parts of the organization such as Recruiting, HR, IT, Facilities, etc. The Financial Analyst will prepare forecasts, review variance analysis with budget owners, review and approve headcount and other requests. The Financial Analyst will also assist in the creation of presentations for the executive management team and will support making improvements to the financial reporting processes.
General Responsibilities
· Partner with budget owners to develop the annual operating plan and track spending
· Developing and maintaining financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning throughout the year
· Execute a combination of monthly operational activities and process improvement projects, including monthly/quarterly financial close activities and analysis
· Build presentation-ready deliverables and work product to support executive discussions and decision making
· Maintain multi-year model forecasting orders, revenue and expenses
· Prepare and present forecast analysis to support executive investment and business decisions including product P&L’s
· Partner with recruiting and HR teams to track open requisitions, headcount and interns
· Enhance newly implemented Adaptive planning model, create executive dashboards, KPIs, etc.
Qualifications and Experience Required
• 3+ years of relevant finance experience in a technology company environment preferred
• Undergraduate degree
• Knowledge of GAAP and understanding of financial statements
• Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong quantitative, organizational and communications skills
• Detail oriented and capable of maintaining a high level of integrity in your work
• Knowledge of Adaptive Planning and NetSuite strongly preferred
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $91,000-$137,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
Pay Range
$91,000 - $137,000 USD
