We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Sr Network Administrator interested in joining our global network infrastructure support team responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a highly redundant and scalable network. You will be part of a growing network engineering team that is responsible for designing and operationally supporting all global network services which includes LAN, WAN, Data Center, remote access, wireless, and firewall security. You will have an opportunity to learn and contribute to many new design initiatives and deployment projects as we continue to explore new and innovative design solutions or processes to optimize network efficiency, performance, and security. We are a cloud first company and networks will span both data centers and cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Daily operational support for our LAN, WAN, VPN, Data center and wireless networks
  • Troubleshooting user wired and wireless network connectivity issues
  • Assistance with deployment and troubleshooting IP networks for global remote field offices and data centers
  • Contribute to Network support ticketing and provide timely resolution for end user issues
  • Maintain network design, configuration standards and operational consistency 
  • Support for network deployment and maintenance projects
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners and service providers on issues
  • Monitor network stability and performance - ensuring 24x7 operations and resolving service impacts as they occur
  • Lead and collaborate with other IT and Engineering team members in the development of technical design solutions
  • Reviews and evaluates technological network related needs and recommends appropriate solutions
  • Contribute to network documentation and knowledge base articles that can be transitioned to L1/L2 staff
  • Review outages, work on permanent fix for Problem / recurring issues
  • Participate in Network automation, upgrades, deployment and design planning
  • Participation in an on-call rotation. Working in rotational shifts.

 Key Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT network engineering, administration, or support, preferably in a large and complex IT environment. 
  • Cisco Network certifications – CCNA, CCNP
  • SDWAN certification a plus
  • Strong understanding and troubleshooting skills on BGP/OSPF/Network Protocols
  • Good Knowledge on Cisco IOS/NX-OS, routing and switching, FW, Wireless AP
  • Good Knowledge on Palo Alto Firewall
  • Knowledge of switching fundamentals such as Ethernet, VLANs and LACP
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and routing protocols and fundamentals
  • Experience using network diagnostic and packet analysis tools
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting LAN, WAN and wireless issues
  • Experience in configuring/deploying/supporting large SDWAN infrastructure
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting for network deployment and management
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their configuration, management, and security
  • Ability to work after hours or on weekends to support projects and maintenance activities

Pay Range

$106,000 - $160,000 CAD
