This position is critical in driving efficiency, compliance, and excellence in global accounts payable operations while ensuring seamless collaboration across international regions.

The Global Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for performing end-to-end accounts payable function across multiple regions, ensuring compliance with international financial regulations and company policies. This role involves coordinating a geographically dispersed team, standardizing AP processes, and fostering strong vendor relationships across global markets. The Global AP Manager is also a key contributor to cash flow optimization, process improvements, and financial reporting on a global scale.  The role will be based in Burlington and will be working partially in office and remote.

Corporate Controller, and working in very close collaboration with Procurement, Treasury and FP&A.

Key Responsibilities

Global Accounts Payable Operations:

  • Perform global AP process, including invoice receipt, approvals, payments, and vendor reconciliations across multiple currencies and regions.  
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, adhering to varying local regulations and tax requirements.  
  • Monitor payment schedules to optimize cash flow and leverage early payment discounts where applicable.
  • Lead, coordinate and execute a global AP process supporting regional Controllers across multiple time zones.  

Process Standardization and Compliance:   

  • Establish and enforce standardized global AP policies, processes, and workflows.  
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, particularly through automation and ERP system enhancements.  
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement AP technology solutions. 
  • Ensure adherence to international regulations, including VAT, GST, and withholding tax compliance.  
  • Manage global 1099/1042 reporting, and other region-specific financial compliance requirements.  
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support internal and external audits.  

Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global vendors and suppliers.  
  • Resolve disputes, negotiate payment terms, and ensure service continuity.  
  • Conduct regular vendor account reviews to maintain accurate records and avoid discrepancies. 

Ideal core qualifications, experience, attributes and skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business from an accredited College/University required
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably SAAS/software
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficiency in global ERP systems, preferably Netsuite
  • Quick learner, able to pick up accounting and finance knowledge on-the-go in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should have a good attention to detail, able to spot irregularities in invoices and financial reports.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams across regions and external third parties
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate cultural and regulatory complexities.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $113,000-$145,000. In addition, this role is eligible for bonus. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

Pay Range

$113,000 - $145,000 USD
