Job Title: Staff QA Engineer – Test Automation
About the Role:

We are looking for a Staff QA Engineer to guide our QA efforts, lead automation initiatives, and oversee minor QA releases for Black Duck, including the Black Duck Hub.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA team in planning, designing, and executing test strategies across the development lifecycle.
- Own and drive automation efforts using Selenium, Cypress, and other modern frameworks.
- Manage minor QA releases for Black Duck and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers.
- Lead and maintain QA efforts for the Black Duck Hub platform.
- Identify and resolve team blockers, and ensure continuous improvement in testing practices.
- Lead a small team of QA engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- BE/BTech/MCA with 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience in test automation (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG).
- Proficiency in Java or JavaScript/TypeScript for automation scripting.
- Mandatory: Experience with Docker, AWS, and UNIX/Linux command-line tools.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong experience in API testing and automation using Postman, RestAssured/FitNesse.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in leading a small team, including task delegation, mentoring, and team coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Exposure to security testing or application security tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with Black Duck or similar software composition analysis tools.
