Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain microservices using Java & Spring Boot.
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Break down complex tasks into manageable components and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code with various tests.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure smooth CI/CD workflows.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Own end-to-end development and testing of features.
- Identify and document test plans and use cases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in code, production issues and system behaviour.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in Java-based software development for enterprise-grade, customer-facing applications
- Strong proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms
- Deep expertise in building Microservices using advanced Java concepts and Spring Boot
- Solid understanding of Software Design Principles and Design Patterns
- Skilled in build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle
- Proficient in Git operations, including rebasing and conflict resolution
- Experience working with relational databases
- Good grasp of System Design fundamentals
- Practical knowledge of messaging systems like Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
- Familiar with monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or Prometheus
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Harness.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
Secondary Skills (Nice to Have):
- Understanding of Webhooks and their integration
- Familiarity with REST endpoints across various Source Control Management (SCM) systems such as GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with Google Pub/Sub
- Awareness of Contract Testing and Performance Testing methodologies
- Basic proficiency in Bash scripting
- Exposure to AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.
