Job Title: Senior Manager, IT Network and Datacenter Operations

As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our technology team and lead high-impact initiatives that drive operational excellence and technological innovation across the organization. 

Position Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead the strategy, design, and operational excellence of our network and datacenter infrastructure. This leader will be responsible for managing high-performance teams, developing scalable solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security, and partnering cross-functionally to support enterprise-wide IT initiatives. This role influences cross-functional decision making and drives alignment across business units. It also contributes to the broader IT strategy and planning in collaboration with senior leadership, and requires navigating complex, rapidly evolving infrastructure environments with resilience and adaptability. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute strategies for network and datacenter reliability, scalability, and security 
  • Lead daily operations across datacenters, on-prem networks, and cloud environments 
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) 
  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians; hire, mentor, and develop talent 
  • Oversee a dynamic team of engineers and technical specialists, taking responsibility for not only the day-to-day management and coordination of their efforts but also for recruiting top-tier talent to strengthen the team.  
  • Implement ongoing mentorship programs and provide continuous professional development opportunities, ensuring that each team member receives the guidance, training, and support necessary to excel in their roles and advance their careers within the organization. 
  • Champion the continuous exploration and implementation of innovative technologies and automation solutions to drive greater operational efficiency and optimize costs across all aspects of network and datacenter management. By embracing forward-thinking tools and processes, proactively identify opportunities for streamlining workflows, reducing manual intervention, and enhancing the overall reliability and scalability of the IT infrastructure. 
  • Partner closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure robust protection of network and datacenter assets through coordinated vulnerability assessments and implementation of advanced security protocols. Collaborate with DevOps specialists to automate deployment of pipelines and maintain high standards for system reliability and scalability. 
  • Engage cross-functional business stakeholders to align IT solutions with operational requirements, ensuring that technology initiatives directly support organizational goals and drive measurable business value. 
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordinate strategic decisions to ensure seamless alignment among various business units. By fostering collaboration and maintaining open channels of dialogue, work diligently to guarantee that objectives across departments are harmonized, supporting the organization’s broader mission and enabling integrated, enterprise-wide progress. 
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide comprehensive input and strategic recommendations for IT planning, ensuring that the organization's technology initiatives align with overall business objectives and support long-term growth and efficiency. 
  • Respond swiftly and efficiently to evolving infrastructure environments by continuously updating skills, assessing new technologies, and implementing strategies that address emerging challenges and opportunities. 
  • Ensure that every standard, guideline, and expectation set forth both within the organization and by outside regulatory or governing bodies is fully understood and consistently always satisfied 
  • Take comprehensive ownership of disaster recovery planning, including the design, documentation, and execution of robust strategies to safeguard critical infrastructure assets. Lead regular disaster recovery drills and thorough testing of contingency protocols to ensure that all team members are well-prepared to respond to unforeseen incidents 
  •  Oversee the development and continuous refinement of incident response plans, ensuring that the organization can swiftly and effectively mitigate the impact of disasters or disruptions to essential IT services. By proactively anticipating potential threats and coordinating cross-functional efforts 
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring and reporting protocols to consistently track key infrastructure metrics, including system performance, uptime, and capacity utilization.  

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • 8+ years in IT infrastructure management, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role 
  • Proven experience managing complex network topologies and enterprise datacenter environments 
  • Deep knowledge of switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and load balancers 
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) 
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and enterprise architecture frameworks 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, PMP) are a plus 

Pay Range

$153,200 - $191,520 USD
