Team Lead - Social Media

As Global Team Lead - Social Media at Blacklane you will redefine our global social media and influencer strategy and activation plans, to help the business reach its goal of building a modern luxury lifestyle brand. You will bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge of the social media and influencer landscape, especially in the luxury lifestyle sector. You will lead a team of social media managers helping them to bring a step change in how social and influencers impact the growth of the brand.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

At Blacklane, we measure success by the meaningful change that each team member creates. In this role, you’ll:
  • Create a comprehensive and ambitious global social media and influencer strategy that will drive brand awareness and deepen engagement with our audience.
  • Lead a team of 3 direct reports - senior social media manager, social media manager and junior social manager - inspiring, motivating and coaching them to be an all starteam of social media experts.
  • Work with the social media and creative team to develop best in class content that is engaging and shareable and that brings to life the new brand positioning.
  • Plan and launch campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team that communicate not just our core brand messages but also our product and service updates across the full marketing funnel.
  • Collaborate with local markets to support them in creating best in class local content that is consistent with the global marketing strategy.
  • Work with external influencers and/or agencies either globally and/or locally to plan and execute influencer campaigns.
  • Use analytic tools to analyze the success of content and campaigns using data to constantly optimize and make improvements and report to the business on the performance of organic social.
  • Be at the forefront of trends in content and also abreast of any platform changes that could impact performance.

 ABOUT YOU:

  • Depth of expertise: The ideal candidate will have 7+ years’ experience in delivering best in class social media and influencer strategies in the context of a luxury lifestyle brand.
  • Team leadership: Proven experience leading and nurturing high performing teams, by leveraging individual strengths and fostering a culture of open communication, agility and learning.
  • Strategic thinking: The ability to shape a strategic vision for your team and function that contributes strongly to overall company business strategy. You can navigate complex
    decisions and make sound judgement calls.
  • Data driven: Are highly proficient at data analysis and are able to use data to create strategies and optimize performance.
  • Collaborative leadership: Don’t have an ego, but rather you foster a culture of collaboration & positivity. You have the ability to simultaneously keep things on track whilst remaining open to change and can drive results through partnering teams.
  • Interpersonal skills: Have excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organisation and across geographies.
  • Trend forecaster: Have a passion and drive to be aware of the latest trends in social and in culture more broadly.
