QA Engineer

Role: QA Engineer

Description: As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Blackthorn, you will be part of an elite team, testing solutions that solve our most critical business priorities. You will work closely with various departments to understand our customers' most pressing needs and provide technical expertise to optimize our testing, prevent issues, and ensure we deliver high quality products.

Base Salary: $55,000 - $72,000 USD

What you’ll do

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Review tickets (bugs, enhancements, new features) and other technical documents to engage in each phase of the software development lifecycle
  • Create, run, repair, manual and automated tests 
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate and perform quality testing activities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional scrum teams and across the larger company 
  • Demonstrate best practices in everything you do, including meaningful test coverage and striving to ensure maintainability
  • Work in time zones within UTC -3 to -7

What we look for

  • 2+ years of software testing experience
  • 1+ years testing on the Salesforce platform
  • Blackthorn product experience a plus
  • Salesforce admin certification a plus
  • Postman and Tricentis Testim experience a plus
  • Excellent English written and oral communication
  • Excellent attention to detail, fast learning, and organized
  • Remains level-headed in high-pressure situations
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, self-regulated environment

We have four native apps on the Salesforce AppExchange for managing Events, collecting Payments, sending Messages, and protecting Data. We’re a growing, distributed team in four countries. We move fast and have a significant structure in our product build process. Everyone on our team has deep experience within their respective roles. Our customers span from 1 person companies to Fortune 500s.

Most apps in our space take weeks to implement, ours take hours, and they work more flexibly, achieving significantly more functionality than our competitors.
