At Blank Street, we're on a mission to become the defining food and beverage brand of our generation, built on a matcha forward menu done obsessively right, a design aesthetic people stop to photograph, and a high-volume format that never cuts corners on quality or hospitality. What began as a handful of carts in NYC is now 100+ locations with a cult following across New York, DC, Boston, and London, and we're just getting started. We're building the team that will define Blank Street in LA. Baristas at Blank Street do a lot more than make drinks, they set the tone for the whole experience. As part of the founding LA team, you'll have outsized influence on how Blank Street shows up - and first access to growth opportunities as we expand across the city and beyond.

What You'll Own

  • Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging hospitality, taking the opportunity to turn every customer into a regular
  • Be an integral part of our world class team using the best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the industry
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment upholding both Local Department of Health and Blank Street standards at all times
  • Partner with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to expand our brand to new customers
  • Continue to train and evolve with the company, driving ever higher standards and improving process along the way
  • Set your team up for success by mastering different company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing processes

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality, retail, or coffee
  • 18+ years of age
  • Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
  • Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
    • Part Time: 15-25 hours per week, 3 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
    • Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
    • Weekend and holiday availability preferred
  • You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees’ Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as ”E-Verify”)
