Our Senior Software Engineers play a vital role within the Blenheim Chalcot, leading the future of our engineering efforts! This role will spearhead projects and craft innovative solutions that resonate with our business goals while guiding our teams through complex issues and helping them to adapt to evolving technologies. With your profound software development expertise and strategic insight you will have shape our future leadership as well as support us in building our next generation of GenAI enabled tech businesses.
Responsibilities
- Lead the research, design, and implementation of scalable software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Define and refine engineering practices, advocating for best practices and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other leaders to define strategic priorities and align engineering goals with business objectives.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance productivity and solve business challenges.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Participate in the technical interview process for potential new hires.
- Contribute to the overall technical direction of the team and the company.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing projects and teams.
- Strong architectural and system design skills in a large-scale environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management.
- Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and drive innovation.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, API development.
- Open-source contributions.
