The Role

We are looking for a motivated Insights Analyst to support the development of dashboards and reporting used across the business. The primary focus of the role is building and maintaining Looker dashboards, ensuring that data is accurate, clearly presented, and easy for stakeholders to understand. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their analytics career who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and keen to develop a solid understanding of financial and commercial metrics in a fast-paced environment.

 

What you’ll be doing

• Build, update and maintain dashboards and reports in Looker
• Support the development of LookML explores and measures with support from more senior team members
• Write and maintain SQL queries (primarily in BigQuery) to support reporting and ad-hoc analysis
• Perform data checks and reconciliations, especially for financial metrics, to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Work with stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements and refine dashboard outputs
• Assist with documentation of metrics, definitions and assumptions
• Support ongoing improvements to dashboard usability, performance and reliability
• Respond to recurring reporting requests and help standardise them into self-serve dashboards

 

What we think you’ll need

Essential:

• Experience building dashboards in Looker (or strong exposure and willingness to deepen LookML skills)
• Good SQL skills and comfort working with large datasets
• Some experience with dbt or a strong interest in learning analytics engineering best practices
• Exposure to GCP / BigQuery or other cloud data platforms
• Basic understanding of financial concepts (e.g. revenue, costs, margins, growth metrics)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Hard-working, reliable and keen to learn

Nice to have

• Good understanding of lending concepts (e.g. revenue, costs, margins, growth metrics)
• Hands-on experience with dbt models or tests
• Experience supporting finance, commercial or operations teams
• Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git)
• Experience in fintech, SaaS or another metrics-driven environment
