Lead, Pharmacy Technician

BlinkRx Pharmacy is a tech-powered pharmacy revolutionizing the way people access prescription medicine. The Lead Pharmacy Technician is a member of a broader pharmacy supervisory team and is responsible for supervising pharmacy technicians and related operations in the pharmacy area. This person is a champion for the patients and providers of BlinkRx, and helps ensure that timely service is provided that exceeds customer expectations.
This leadership position will function as the liaison between pharmacy technician staff and pharmacy management. The Lead will use a high-level of communication and collaboration with internal team members to complete pharmacy and prescriber outreach, data entry, and dispensing of prescriptions from Blink Health Pharmacy. This individual is a recognized pharmacy leader and provides strong, visible, values, driven leadership and advocacy for pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians, owning the success of the end-to-end prescription journey in order to provide an exceptional patient and provider experiences
- Drive hiring efforts, ensuring selection of qualified candidates who align with company culture and operational standards
- Manage team resources and queues to ensure SLAs are achieved
- Monitor and coach technician performance metrics vs. established goals
- Monitor and coach technician quality errors
- Identify roadblocks and help develop solutions to increase operational efficiency and accuracy
- Train, mentor and coach junior technicians
- Work cross-functionally with pharmacists and other leadership to assist in operational oversight of the pharmacy team(s)
- Ensure all tasks are performed in a safe and compliant manner that is consistent with corporate policies as well as state and federal laws
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment and culture
- Performs other job duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of management and/or supervisory experience in a fast paced metrics driven environment
- Minimum 3 years experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or specialty pharmacy setting
- Experience coaching employee performance and partnering with HR to manage employee relations issues
- Proficient understanding of operational standards including SIG codes, general prescription knowledge and pharmacy workflows
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to hold technicians accountable to established goals and metrics
- Technical aptitude and ability to learn new software
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to coach team technicians
- Ability to adapt to changing processes, technologies and workloads
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA)
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance
- Data-driven mindset with experience in analyzing performance metrics and reporting
Location/Hours:
Fully onsite role in Boise, Idaho Monday - Friday. Shift availability between 7am MST - 9pm MST
