Boundless Learning is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Commercialization to lead product strategy, discovery, and execution across assigned products and product areas. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product & Services, this role translates customer and partner needs, market opportunities, business priorities, and emerging technology into product strategies and roadmaps. The Sr. Manager works closely with Technology, Learning Design Services, Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, and other teams to bring products and capabilities to market that create customer and business value.
This is a hands-on product leadership role for someone equally comfortable shaping strategy, conducting discovery, defining roadmaps, working with Technology, and representing Product with customers and partners.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Commercialization
- Continually evolve the product portfolio and roadmap based on market opportunity, customer demand, competitive movement, and emerging technology.
- Translate product opportunities into commercially viable offerings that Boundless can effectively package, price, position, launch, sell, and scale.
- Develop and refine product value propositions, positioning, pricing, packaging, and commercialization strategies in partnership with Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing.
- Serve as a key product leader in strategic customer, partner, and prospect conversations, including demos, discovery sessions, RFPs, and proposals.
- Partner with Portfolio & Growth to evaluate opportunities, determine product fit, shape solutions, and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Bring market and field insights back into product strategy, roadmap priorities, and portfolio decisions.
- Partner with Marketing and go-to-market teams on product launches, messaging, sales enablement, and market activation.
- Contribute to business cases and commercial plans that support investment decisions and product growth.
Customer & Market Discovery
- Lead discovery with customers, partners, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand needs, challenges, and emerging opportunities.
- Use customer feedback, product data, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform product decisions.
- Partner with Portfolio & Growth to identify market demand, customer requirements, competitive dynamics, and product gaps.
- Validate product concepts and opportunities before significant resources are committed.
- Ensure product decisions are grounded in evidence and clearly defined customer problems.
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and execute product strategy and roadmaps for assigned products and product areas, aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for new products, enhancements, partnerships, integrations, and emerging technology applications.
- Prioritize investments and make clear trade-offs based on customer value, market opportunity, business impact, technical feasibility, and available resources.
- Define product goals, success measures, and key performance indicators.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, and trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Product Development & Delivery
- Partner with Technology and other delivery teams to move products from concept through development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
- Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and desired outcomes.
- Maintain alignment across Product and Technology on priorities, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
- Monitor product performance and customer adoption following launch and use insights to inform ongoing improvements.
Product Management Leadership
- Establish and improve product management practices, processes, tools, and standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop product managers, product owners, or other product team members as applicable.
- Build strong relationships across Product & Services, Technology, Learning Design Services, Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, and other functions.
- Create alignment around product priorities and decisions and influence effectively across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, or a related discipline, including leadership of significant products or product areas.
- Demonstrated experience owning products or product areas from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Strong ability to translate customer, partner, and market needs into clear product strategies, roadmaps, requirements, and priorities.
- Experience working closely with Technology and cross-functional teams to deliver products in a complex organizational environment.
- Strong customer and commercial orientation, with experience participating in customer discovery, sales conversations, demos, proposals, or go-to-market activities.
- Ability to evaluate market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies and translate insights into product decisions.
- Strong understanding of product positioning, packaging, pricing, and commercialization, with the ability to help turn product capabilities into offerings customers will value and buy.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, manage competing priorities, and move work forward in an ambiguous environment.
This position is based full-time in one of our Boundless Learning offices.
