Consumer Operations Data Analyst Intern
Blockchain is connecting the world to the future of finance. As the most trusted and fastest-growing global crypto company, it helps millions of people worldwide safely access cryptocurrency. Since its inception in 2011, Blockchain has earned the trust of over 90 million wallet holders and more than 40 million verified users, facilitating over $1 trillion in crypto transactions.
We are looking for a Consumer Operations Data Analyst Intern to join our Customer Operations department for a final-year internship. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering and operational analytics, supporting a team that ensures a seamless and secure experience for Blockchain.com users worldwide, across customer support, fraud detection, and risk management.
You will own a mix of hands-on automation work and analytical output: building the scripts and pipelines that reduce manual effort for the Operations team, while producing the dashboards and insights that inform day-to-day decisions.
You will work closely with the Trust & Safety Manager and collaborate across Customer Support, Fraud, and Risk functions. The work is cross-functional; what you build and what you surface from the data directly shapes how operational teams prioritize and respond to issues.
This role suits someone equally comfortable writing Python as pulling insights from a database and presenting a clear recommendation. You take a problem from diagnosis to solution without needing significant hand-holding, and you stay curious enough about the operational context to ask the right questions before you start building.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build and maintain Python scripts that automate repetitive manual tasks across Customer Support, Fraud, and Trust & Safety operations
- Design and deploy workflow automation pipelines, ensuring robustness, scalability, and reliability from the outset
- Monitor deployed automations proactively, identifying and resolving failures before they impact operations
- Conduct ad-hoc data analyses on operational metrics, including anomaly detection, resolution time trends, and fraud rate patterns
- Build and maintain dashboards that give the Operations team real-time visibility into key performance indicators
- Set up alerting systems that surface operational issues before they escalate into user-impacting incidents
- Translate complex data outputs into concise, actionable recommendations that non-technical colleagues can act on
- Partner with the Trust & Safety Manager to scope and prioritize data projects based on operational impact
- Document automation workflows and analytical methodologies to support knowledge transfer within the team
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Currently enrolled in an engineering school, computer science program, or equivalent with a specialization in Data, Computer Science, or Statistics, and seeking a final-year internship (stage de fin d'études)
- Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries against large operational datasets
- Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience using it for data manipulation, scripting, and automation
- Able to take a project end-to-end: from scoping the problem to building, monitoring, and documenting the solution
- Strong analytical mindset, with a genuine focus on root cause analysis rather than surface-level reporting
- Fluent in English, the primary working language in an international environment; French fluency is also required
- Experience with API integrations or workflow automation platforms (such as n8n, Make, or Zapier) is a plus
- Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or the Web3 ecosystem is a plus
COMPENSATION & PERKS
- Unlimited vacation policy; work hard and take time when you need it.
- Unlimited books policy; order the technical resources you need or simply pick something up from our company library.
- Apple equipment.
- Learning and development opportunities in other areas than AML in the future.
- Full-time salary based on experience and meaningful equity in an industry-leading company.
- Role based in our Paris office, with a mandatory in-office presence four days per week
- Work from Anywhere Policy: You can work remotely from anywhere in the world for up to 20 days per year.
