The Role
The SEO/GEO Specialist plays a key role in expanding Bloomerang’s organic reach, boosting site visibility, and developing content that resonates across markets. Reporting to the Search & AI Optimization Manager, this role is responsible for executing the SEO & GEO content strategy—including keyword research, internal and off-site content creation, and optimization. This work directly impacts brand awareness, traffic growth, and lead generation.
The SEO/GEO Specialist is a versatile strategist who thrives in both analytical and creative spaces, is comfortable producing and reviewing content, and is excited about scaling impact through a content-driven SEO strategy.
What You Will Do
- Plan the SEO content calendar in collaboration with Search & AI Optimization Manager, the broader marketing team, and an SEO agency.
- Write high-quality, SEO-optimized content for internal publication, targeting both top-of-funnel and high-intent queries.
- Leverage generative and agentic AI tools to streamline content creation and enhance reporting workflows.
- Create & review off-site content for backlinks and partner placements to enhance domain authority in coordination with an SEO agency.
- Assist on GEO content initiatives and be the Search & AI Optimization Manager’s right hand for GEO content initiatives, supporting targeted marketing campaigns and persona strategy rollouts.
- Conduct keyword research and gap analysis to identify and prioritize SEO content opportunities.
- Measure and report SEO performance, including keyword rankings, page traffic, CTR, and conversions using tools like GA4, Search Console, and SEMrush.
- Stay current with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure content and strategy remain competitive.
What You Need to Succeed
- +3 years of experience in SEO strategy, content marketing, or other related roles.
- Strong knowledge of Google’s SGE and Generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT) and how they impact search.
- Strong knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.
- Experience writing and editing content for both internal blogs and external placements.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Screaming Frog), and web analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Google Search Console).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data insights into action.
- Exceptional written communication and editorial skills.
- Experience with AI tools and a proactive interest in leveraging their evolving capabilities for content and strategy development.
- Ability to actively explore, learn, and responsibly integrate AI tools into daily tasks to drive efficiency and support Bloomerang's mission.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is: $66,500 - $99,500. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.
Location
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
