The Role

The Sr. Product Manager – AI & Data Services will play a critical role in bringing Bloomerang’s AI strategy to life. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, this role is responsible for rapidly turning ideas into working AI-powered capabilities that deliver measurable value to nonprofit customers. This is an AI-first, technical product role. We are looking for a true product builder. Someone who operates at the intersection of product, engineering, and design, and is comfortable moving from concept to working prototype to production through hands-on experimentation. You will work horizontally across teams to move quickly from idea → prototype → production → continuous refinement, using modern AI tools and workflows. Working software, prototypes, and real outputs, not static documents, are the primary means of communication and decision-making.

In the near term, this role will also own and support Bloomerang’s public API, first-party connectors to third-party applications, and relationships with external partners building on our platform. Over time, this responsibility will transition to another Bloomerang team. This role also serves as a key connector across the business, coordinating efforts across Product, Engineering, Data, Design, as well as Product Marketing, Customer Success, Support, Sales, etc. to ensure AI capabilities are successfully delivered, adopted, and drive real customer outcomes. You will contribute to shaping product strategy in partnership with product leadership, while maintaining a strong bias toward execution, speed, and continuous learning.

What You Will Do

  • Build & Ship Agentic AI: You won’t just write requirements; you’ll turn ideas into working prototypes, agents, and experiments. Partnering with Engineering and AI architects, you'll build systems leveraging LLMs, retrieval (RAG), and orchestration frameworks. You’ll also play a key role in evolving Penny, Bloomerang’s AI Fundraising Assistant, by staying hands-on with emerging AI tech.

  • Modernize the AI Product Lifecycle (AI PDLC): We’ve moved beyond the era of 50-page PRDs. You will help shape a lifecycle where the demo is the spec. Using tools like Cursor or Claude Code, you'll produce high-signal outputs—product briefs, prompt designs, and evaluation frameworks—that reduce handoffs and prioritize observed system behavior over static documentation.

  • Architect Data & Integration Foundations: AI is only as good as its data. You’ll collaborate with Data and Engineering teams to ensure our AI capabilities are powered by high-quality, governed, and well-structured data services. In the near term, you’ll also oversee our public API and partner ecosystem, ensuring these integrations are robust and ready to support future AI-driven use cases.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution: As a horizontal leader, you’ll be the "connective tissue" between Engineering, Design, and GTM teams. You’ll coordinate with Product Marketing to position our AI story, and work with Sales and Success to ensure our tools are driving real outcomes for nonprofits—all while ensuring every feature is built with safety, reliability, and scale.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with strong experience in technical, AI, or data-driven products.
  • Proven experience building and shipping AI-powered products in a SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience creating working prototypes, agents, or workflows using modern AI tools.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, and emerging agentic patterns.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, and distributed systems, including external partner ecosystems.
  • Experience working with data systems and understanding how data quality impacts AI outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a builder, combining product thinking with technical and design intuition.
  • Experience collaborating across both technical and go-to-market teams (e.g., Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support).
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with evolving tools and practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong bias for action, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Haves But Not Required

  • Experience with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI development environments.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar.
  • Experience supporting developer platforms, APIs, or integration ecosystems.
  • Exposure to evaluation frameworks for AI systems (e.g., prompt testing, output quality measurement).
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, or analytics platforms.
  • Background in nonprofit technology, CRM, or fundraising software.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
