We looking for a dedicated Staff Product Manager Data Pipeline & Data Storage. The salary starts from € 5,000 gross per month (applicable for Slovakia only) based on your experience level and it can get much higher later depending on your performance. We are happy to meet you in Brno (Czechia) or Bratislava (Slovakia) or you can work from home from Central and East Europe on a full time basis. Are you ready to grow with us?

What you’ll do:

  • Understanding the customer needs: Surprisingly here it all starts. Understanding CDP, Marketing Automation, Search & Recs World. As a platform data team, we have to talk to our customers and know what they do, how they do that and mainly why they do that.
  • Find the scalability bottlenecks: Work with engineers and customer-facing teams to pinpoint the most critical scalability issues, assess cost implications, and impact on UX for both internal and external customers.
  • Drive Iterative Improvements: Champion rapid, incremental updates rather than lengthy, high-risk projects. Validate each step with real data, learning and adjusting as you go.
  • Define Scalability & UX Limits: Establish clear metrics and thresholds for performance (e.g., maximum query time), cost efficiency, and real-time data processing to guide technical decisions.
  • Collaborate Across Products: Being a PM of a platform data team means partnering with all your internal customers, who are app PMs, Infrastructure teams, platform teams etc. to align on strategic goals, ensuring data federation systems integrate seamlessly and support use cases for marketing, AI, and more.
  • Cocreate & Own the Roadmap: You’ll feed 10-15 engineers, that requires clear vision, cocreate strategy and the plan. Agile and iterative approach doesn’t mean we don’t think further and have plans ready for the future. Balance short-term wins with long-term scalability objectives. Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned on priorities.
  • Lead Product at a Cross-Functional Team: Coordinate with engineers, QA, designers, and operations conveying the problem to engineers and designers and finding the solution together and deliver features on time and within scope, all while maintaining high engagement and motivation.
  • Cooperate with project management: You won’t have any direct reports, but 10-15 engineers in your team will rely on your leadership and project management skills. You’ll work with Project Manager and coordinate together the team around clear goals.

Must-Have Competencies:

Data track record:

  1. Proven experience in scaling databases or/and building federated data systems
  2. Has dealt with large data growth, migrations, or integrations of various database solutions
  3. Practical, hands-on involvement in real-world data projects

Strong business mindset:

  1. Start with “What problem are we solving?” and “How does this impact the business?” before diving into technical specifics
  2. Communicates effectively with clients and business stakeholders, understanding revenue implications or various scalability issues
  3. Research approach and idea / problem validation

Industry knowledge:

  1. Experience from Customer Data Platform, Marketing Automation, Datawarehouse or similar companies
  2. Some vertical-specific topics repeat again and again and it’s a huge benefit to have a track record of solving them

Iterative approach in complex areas:

  1. Breaks down complex issues into smaller, testable parts and rapidly validates solutions
  2. Prioritizes high-impact steps over lengthy, uncertain projects

Team leadership and motivation:

  1. Inspire, discuss vision, and drive the team from significant uncertainty to a safe environment set up for success
  2. Become a thought leader about scaling and building federation data systems for marketing automation platforms

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
