The Senior Commissions Analyst will own the day-to-day operations of the sales commissions program. This role is responsible for accurate and timely calculation of commissions and bonuses, ensuring plans and policies are applied correctly, and partnering with stakeholders across Revenue, Finance, and Operations to design and maintain a best-in-class variable compensation program. You can work in one of our Central Europe offices (Bratislava, Brno, Prague) or from home in Central and Eastern Europe on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operations of the sales commissions program.
- Calculate and validate monthly commission payments and other sales bonuses in accordance with approved plans and policies.
- Perform regular reviews and audits of crediting rules, commission calculations, and payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes related to commissions, including variance analysis and issue resolution.
- Prepare and distribute monthly commission statements and individual commission plans to sales employees.
- Manage and resolve commission-related questions, disputes, and trouble tickets from sales and other go-to-market employees.
- Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales Leadership, and HR to provide strategic insights, financial modeling, and recommendations on the variable compensation program.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all commission plans and relevant policies, and ensure consistent application across teams and geographies.
- Produce recurring monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis on performance, attainment, and compensation outcomes.
- Participate in plan design cycles and process documentation, playing a key role in crafting a clear, intuitive “user experience” for all plan participants.
- Build trust and strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Operations, and People teams.
- Maintain and regularly update the commissions system(s) with current information and reference data (e.g., employee records, territories, plan assignments, crediting rules).
- Support the evaluation, selection, implementation, and onboarding of any new commission tools, including CaptivateIQ.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Finance, Financial Analysis, or a closely related function.
- Experience with sales compensation in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to interpret data, reconcile discrepancies, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
- High proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas) and solid PowerPoint skills for building reports and presentations.
- Hands-on experience with CaptivateIQ (or a similar incentive compensation management platform) for plan configuration, crediting logic, and payout workflows.
- Salesforce experience or familiarity with CRM data structures is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse teams and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when working with compensation and financial data.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a variety of complex tasks, often working with partial or conflicting data and tight timelines.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Prior ownership or co-ownership of a sales commissions process or program.
- Broader experience with incentive compensation management tools (e.g., CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Varicent, Spiff)
- Experience in B2B SaaS or technology companies, particularly in global or multi-region go-to-market organizations.
