What challenge awaits you?

The Vice President & GM, Product Management – Commerce AI will lead product strategy and execution across Bloomreach's Search and Recommendations apps and agents — encompassing AI-powered search, merchandising, recommendations, SEO, and conversational product discovery. This role carries GM-level accountability for the product lines serving hundreds of global merchants.

This leader will own the end-to-end product vision for how shoppers discover products — from traditional keyword search to agentic, conversational commerce — and will drive the convergence of Discovery and Clarity into a unified, AI-native product discovery experience. The role also includes oversight of Bloomreach's emerging presence in off-site discovery channels, including ChatGPT and other LLM-powered surfaces via Loomi Connect.

You will be a key member of the Product Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. You will partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, GTM, and Customer Success leaders to ship products that measurably improve Revenue Per Visitor (RPV) for the world's largest retailers and brands.

This role requires a leader with deep product experience in Commerce AI — especially search and recommendations — who can come in and execute quickly. We are looking for someone technical with strong product instincts and a bias for driving outcomes.

This person will work closely with the Product and Field leaders and must be a confident, conviction-driven leader who can hold their ground, collaborate effectively with strong-minded peers, and drive alignment across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the product vision and strategy for Search, Merchandising, Recommendations, SEO and Conversational Agent, ensuring a cohesive roadmap that maximizes RPV and competitive differentiation
  • Driving the convergence of Search into a unified, agentic product discovery experience — from core search ranking to full-page conversational shopping
  • Leading and scaling a high-performing product organization spanning Product Directors, Staff/Principal PMs, and a Product Researcher across multiple geographies (US, EU, India)
  • Owning business KPIs for the Search & Recommendations product line, including ARR growth, customer retention, RPV lift, and competitive win rates
  • Driving the product roadmap for AI-powered search and ranking, including semantic search, LLM-powered query understanding, 1:1 personalization, and advanced base ranking models
  • Shaping the agentic commerce strategy, including onsite conversational search (Agentic AI Mode), off-site discovery via Loomi Connect / ChatGPT integration, and MCP-based agent extensibility
  • Overseeing the Conversational Agent roadmap, including conversational engine architecture, consultative selling experiences, customer review ingestion, multi-channel expansion (WhatsApp, SMS, mobile app), and customer service integrations
  • Partnering with Engineering and Data Science to push the boundaries of AI/ML in commerce — from ranking models and vector search to LLM orchestration and real-time personalization
  • Representing Bloomreach externally as a product thought leader in commerce search and discovery — with analysts (Gartner, Forrester), at industry events, and in strategic customer engagements
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with the Marketing product pillar, CDE/Data Hub team, GTM, and Customer Success to drive compound value across the Bloomreach platform
  • Transforming the product organization with modern, agentic ways of working — leveraging AI-powered tools for product planning, research, prototyping, and requirements generation to dramatically accelerate the team's velocity and decision quality
  • Acting as a true General Manager for the Discovery and Clarity business — owning not just the product but the commercial outcomes, partnering deeply with Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, and Professional Services to drive pipeline, win rates, retention, and expansion
  • Serving as a strategic partner to Field teams — engaging directly in strategic customer conversations, supporting complex deal cycles, informing competitive positioning, and ensuring the product roadmap reflects market reality and customer needs
  • Recruiting, developing, and retaining best-in-class product talent, fostering a culture of ownership, velocity, and customer obsession

Your success story will be:

  • In 30 days, you will internalize Bloomreach's product strategy, the Search product architectures, competitive landscape, and key customer relationships. You will form a point of view on the current roadmap, team structure, and strategic priorities, and build strong relationships with your peers on the Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership teams.
  • In 60 days, you will finalize your product strategy for Search, align with Engineering on execution priorities, and shape your organization to deliver against the strategy. You will have established a clear operating rhythm with your team and cross-functional partners.
  • In 90 days, you will be executing against your strategy with measurable KPIs. You will have made key roadmap decisions, driven alignment across the products, and established yourself as the go-to product leader for commerce search and discovery — internally and externally.

You have the following experience and qualities:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP, GM, or equivalent) owning a product P&L or significant revenue line
  • Deep domain expertise in Commerce AI, particularly in e-commerce search, recommendations, personalization, and/or merchandising — ideally at a SaaS platform serving enterprise retailers
  • Strong technical acumen — comfortable going deep on AI/ML concepts (ranking models, NLP/NLU, LLMs, vector search, real-time personalization) and partnering effectively with engineering and data science teams
  • Experience with marketing technology (CDPs, marketing automation, campaign management) is a strong plus, providing future flexibility to expand product footprint across the Bloomreach portfolio
  • Proven ability to drive business outcomes — you think in terms of RPV, conversion rates, ARR, and customer impact, not just features shipped
  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing product teams across multiple geographies and time zones
  • Demonstrated experience transforming product organizations with modern, agentic workflows — using AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Copilot) for product planning, rapid prototyping, competitive research, and requirements generation to dramatically compress cycle times
  • GM mindset with strong commercial instincts — you have partnered directly with Sales, Solution Consulting, and Customer Success teams to close strategic deals, drive NRR/GRR and ensure product-market fit in the field
  • Conviction-driven leadership style — you form strong points of view, back them with data, and can hold your ground in debates with strong-minded peers and executives while remaining collaborative and respectful
  • Excellent cross-disciplinary collaboration skills and strong organizational agility — you thrive in a matrixed environment and can influence without authority
  • Experience representing products externally to analysts, at industry events, and in strategic customer engagements
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments — you can move quickly, make hard decisions, and adapt as the market and organization evolve
  • Very strong presentation and storytelling skills — you can articulate a compelling product vision to audiences ranging from engineers to the C-suite to enterprise customers

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
