Sr./Dir, IT Applications
ABOUT US
We are seeking a Senior/Director of IT Applications to support our Enterprise and R&D systems including Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing and G&A. You will provide IT systems leadership and partner with the business to build capabilities in support of our corporate objectives and be responsible for our application architecture, management of related budgets, and oversight for vendors or managed service providers. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the X. You will be responsible for supporting our Enterprise and R&D systems including Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing and G&A. This role will provide IT systems leadership and partner with the business to build capabilities in support of our corporate objectives. You will be responsible for our application architecture, management of related budgets, and oversight for vendors or managed service providers. This is a full-time hybrid position (3 days a week) in our Somerville – Assembly Row, Massachusetts office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop user requirements, test plans and vendor/software selection criteria for commercial software and technology solutions
- Developing & Maintaining SOPs and documentation for all systems & processes
- Manage Bluebird’s application vendors, SaaS providers and hosting partners
- Develop road maps and budgets that meet the growth, scale and changing needs of the business
- Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated plans for computer system validation based on industry-standard best practices and FDA requirements
- Provide end user training on our growing portfolio of applications and tools
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a Backelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of Information Technology systems experience, and 6 years of management experience
- Demonstrated ability to work on diverse projects simultaneously, requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, time management, and sound judgment
- Ability to self-motivate while operating effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Experience supporting a 200+ end user environment
- Experience in small company or start up environments (Life sciences a plus)
- Ability to work on a small, fast-paced IT team
- Experience with implementing and maintaining GxP systems and CFR 21 Part 11 compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Budget management experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
