Position Description 

  

Bluebird Kids Health is seeking a results-driven Community Outreach Coordinator to drive growth and patient acquisition by building and converting referral relationships and engaging prospective families across Palm Beach County, FL. Reporting to the Director of Growth, this role blends D2C and B2B sales. The Community Outreach Coordinator is accountable for hitting patient acquisition targets through a mix of community partnership development, referral generation, and direct family engagement. This includes developing referral partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations, representing Bluebird Kids Health at events, and directly engaging families to convert interest into completed appointments. They will maintain a robust database of partners, report regularly on progress, and bring innovative ideas to expand Bluebird Kids Health’s reach. 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with proven sales or business development experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to consistently deliver measurable growth in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. They combine a passion for community health with a clear focus on achieving results and expanding access to high quality pediatric care. 

What You’ll Do 

• Drive patient acquisition by meeting or exceeding monthly growth targets 

• Proactively build and manage a referral pipeline with OB/GYNs, hospitals, schools daycares, religious organizations, and other community partners to position Bluebird Kids as their preferred pediatric care provider 

• Plan, coordinate, and execute local events (e.g. health fairs, baby showers, workshops, and community events) to generate leads and enroll new families  

• Host Bluebird Kids-sponsored events (provider lunch-and-learns, family meet-and-greets, office tours, etc.) that showcase our services and strengthen referral pathways 

• Build awareness and drive new patient growth through direct family engagement at events, canvassing, tabling, with moms’ groups, etc. 

• Leverage CRM and sales tools to track outreach activities, leads, and patient acquisition, measure impact, and optimize efforts  

• Build authentic relationships with the communities we serve, building trust and reinforcing retention and word-of-mouth referrals 

 

What You’ll Need  

• High School diploma or equivalent 

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, community outreach and engagement, or business development with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales/growth targets 

• Experience in healthcare, pediatric care, or social services is a plus 

• Proven ability to work independently in the field with limited supervision  

• Skilled at engaging with professional audiences (e.g. physicians, administrators, community leaders) 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to initiate conversations and build connections quickly 

• Thrives in target-driven role, resilient when facing rejection and motivated by achieving growth outcomes 

• Excellent organization and time-management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously 

• Proficiency with technology platforms, including EHRs, CRMs, and digital engagement tools 

• Reliable access to transportation with flexibility to travel throughout Palm Beach County and availability for some evening/weekend work 

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole is strongly preferred
