We are seeking a Cleaner to join our New York City team! The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in Bluegrounds’ apartments. This role ensures a welcoming, safe, and sanitary environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service assigned apartments including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and balconies according to company design guidelines.
- Use Vacuums, Steam machine / Ozone machine for heavy stains on furniture and Upholstery as needed
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor and collaborate with technicians for repairs.
- Report missing items from guest units and handle lost and found items according to the company’s procedures.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including adhering to established protocols and using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Be diligent in ensuring the security of the units.
- Have competency in filling out digital forms.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Skills:
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with technicians to ensure timely reporting and resolution of maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and guest satisfaction.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and ability to operate cleaning equipment.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to respond to emergency cleaning needs promptly and efficiently.
