As an Accounting (Senior) Associate you will be a key member of Blueground’s group corporate accounting team handling book-keeping, reporting and tax compliance for the Company’s global operations.
What you will focus on:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately in the ledgers and/or accounting system.
- Support month-end closing and statutory/tax filings
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify, report, and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records.
- Review and streamline bookkeeping processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement system upgrades and automation where applicable.
- Work closely with the broader Finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Partner with other departments to resolve billing issues, provide financial insights, and support operational initiatives.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a dynamic or multi-national environment.
- Proven track record in managing complex financial records and supporting financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification highly preferred.
