
Physics and Mathematics SETA,-DARPA, TS/SCI
Blue Sky is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Technical Advisory (SETA) with expertise in the physics and mathematics of advanced sensing technologies test coordination to provide support at DARPA.
Level of Effort required is up to 25% initially with opportunity to increase to 100%.
Description:
Candidate(s) sought to provide on-site support. The successful candidate is an experienced SETA with expertise in the physics and mathematics of advanced sensing technologies test coordination. He or She will support the DARPA program manager by supporting or leading all activities in project management, technical and programmatic risk analysis, and program-funded test coordination. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating meetings, assessing performer technical progress, projecting performer outcomes, and ensuring that project management best practices are followed by performers, independent verification and validation (IV&V) entities funded by DARPA, and within DARPA itself
Capabilities and Characteristics:
- Prior experience working programs at DARPA as a technical and program management support contractor
- Knowledge of DARPA processes and procedures
- Demonstrated program management expertise, with over 10 years following program management best practices in a research environment, preferably as a project lead
- Expertise and strong interest in the physics and mathematics of advanced sensing technologies test coordination
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar areas needed to broadly support program goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - both written (to include PowerPoint) and oral
- Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide support in a team role in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests
- Flexible and readily adaptable to change.
Responsibilities:
- Lead periodic (monthly or bi-weekly) performer assessments to analyze program, technical and schedule risks; develop risk mitigation strategies; communicate findings to program manager
- Evaluate and guide technical reports, briefings, and other performer communications
- Engage stakeholders and collaborators across the various DoD agencies and services
- Shape and oversee early operational analysis
- Administer programmatics, including development of technical analyses, identification of technology gaps, technical risk management, project cost estimation, technology transfer efforts, as well as supporting technical reviews
- Prepare DARPA work products including presentations and reports
- Attend and organize program reviews/site visits/field tests
- Support research solicitation development and source selection activities
Clearance: Current TS/SCI Clearance desired
