Empower Critical Systems and Data

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Lead to drive the continued expansion and evolution of our Global Data Marketplace-an established e-commerce platform that enables secure and scalable commercial data acquisition. In this high-impact role, you will lead initiatives that optimize the platform, enhance the user experience, and increase customer satisfaction. Operating at the nexus of business strategy, technology, and user needs, you will collaborate cross-functionally to identify emerging data demands, onboard new providers, and streamline acquisition workflows. Your leadership will ensure alignment between product vision and technical execution while fostering a collaborative, agile team culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Insight & Foresight: Engage directly with customers to build trust and deeply understand emerging data needs, proactively closing marketplace gaps through collaborative, user-centered solutions.
  • Product Strategy & Planning: Take ownership of the product roadmap, leading with transparency and accountability to ensure marketplace capabilities meet business goals and foster cross-functional alignment.
  • Provider Ecosystem Growth: Build strong relationships with data providers, guiding them through onboarding with a mentorship mindset and ensuring their offerings align with mission priorities and evolving customer demands.
  • Product Optimization: Collaborate closely with UX and engineering teams to prioritize features that improve usability, streamline processes, and reflect shared ownership of customer success.
  • Operational Alignment: Partner with legal, engineering, and security teams to ensure platform compliance, cultivating mutual trust and open communication across functional boundaries.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Own the development of metrics and feedback loops, empowering the team with actionable insights while mentoring others in the use of data to inform product decisions.
  • Agile Product Leadership: Lead sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery with a commitment to team cohesion, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate clearly and consistently with internal and external stakeholders, building credibility and fostering a shared understanding of product vision and progress.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Marketplace Acumen: Proven experience building or scaling digital marketplaces, ideally for data or SaaS.
  • Commercial Data Knowledge: Familiar with data licensing, acquisition models, and vendor management best practices.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate future market needs and guide product evolution accordingly.
  • Technical Familiarity: Comfortable with APIs, metadata, secure delivery methods, and integration strategies.
  • Customer Orientation: Skilled in solving user pain points and enhancing satisfaction through innovative features.
  • Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience in Agile development, including story creation, backlog grooming, and sprint leadership.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a track record of metrics-based decision making.
  • Exceptional Communication: Able to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams.

Required Experience and Education: 10+ years of experience and an MBA from a top-20 ranked institution are highly desirable.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a security clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check. Eligibility for a TS/SCI Clearance will be assessed as part of the onboarding process or based on programmatic needs.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Salary Range (CO)

$150,000 - $190,000 USD
