Why This Role Matters
As a Software Engineer, UI/UX, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and implementing innovative software user interfaces for our commercial e-commerce platform. You will collaborate closely with other software engineers to deliver exceptional platform user experiences. Your primary focus will be on creating user-friendly UI/UX interfaces that are visually appealing, responsive, and highly functional.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand user requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing user interface designs.
  • Develop and maintain Angular platforms for the user interface of our commercial e-commerce systems.
  • Implement responsive designs that ensure seamless user experiences across multiple devices and platforms.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability to handle large-scale e-commerce operations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues and ensure a high level of quality and usability.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in user interface development and incorporate them into the platform's design and development processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of the codebase.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic and RESTful APIs.
  • Work in an agile development environment, effectively manage priorities and deliver tasks within the specified timelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience as a (UI/UX) User Interface Software Engineer, Frontend Developer, or similar role, with a focus on web application development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
  • Experience in front-end frameworks such as Angular, React,  or Vue.js is highly desirable.
  • UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development tools and workflows.
  • RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
  • A strong passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a keen eye for detail.
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities within a team-centric environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Developing professional and technical expertise. Able to resolve routine issues and problems.
  • Ability to communicate scope and state of work, including articulating roadblocks.
  • Builds small features and contributes bug fixes in a reasonable time frame.
  • Proactive and thoughtful in seeking clarification and asking questions.

Required Education: 6+ years of software development with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Clearance Requirement: This position may require the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a security clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check. Eligibility for a TS/SCI Clearance will be assessed as part of the onboarding process or based on programmatic needs.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Salary Range (CO)

$130,000 - $155,000 USD

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
