Anticipated Pay Range at Commencement of Employment: $106,000 - $146,000 per year

General Description

Blue Star Families is seeking an energetic, organized, results-oriented Director of ERP Finance and Analytics  to manage the financial support for the Field organization, Reporting/Analytics optimization and oversee the launch and on-going oversight of the JAMIS ERP system. This position reports to the CFO. The desired candidate will have previous experience in corporate finance, change management and proven success in financial technology platform transformations.

 

Key Job Functions

  • Manage JAMIS ERP platform for the organization which includes Accounting, Expense, Corp Card, Payroll, HR and Purchasing modules.
  • Review existing company reporting/analytic tools and processes and develop a strategy to implement changes to enhance, simplify and optimize.
  • Manage all financial support for the Field Chapter & Outpost department including revenue tracking, expense management and budgeting.
  • Act as the primary Finance position in the management of the budgeting, financials review and cost analysis with the organization’s Chapters Team.
  • Support and collaborate with the Chapters’ Executive Directors and Development Team in the preparation and compilation of Grant/Donor applications
  • Collaborate and support in leveraging the company’s new ERP system with untapped reporting functionality and data analytics.
  • Develop budgeting and strategic planning in BSF’s Chapters Expansion modeling and other initiatives.
  • Provide support and new efficiencies ideas in the organization’s tracking and recording of Gifts-In-Kind donations.
  • Support, coordinate and assist in donor development for the Field function that can include cash and gift-in-kind revenue streams
  • Support annual Audits and align with GAAP, GAS (Government Auditing Standards) and BSF policies; implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Prepare and present periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) financial data or reports as needed to support organizational internal and board reporting requirements.
  • Meet regularly and provide support to Chapter Executive Directors.
  • Collaborate with HR/Ops teams on process improvements and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Required Experience, Skills & Background

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in finance, business or a related field required
  • 7+ years of experience in finance leadership role 
  • Experience in systems integration and change management a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a high proficiency in Excel
  • Financial reporting to various organizational levels (Department Heads, Managers, Executives, BOD)
  • Class-Project\cost accounting, Budget-versus-Actuals analysis
  • Budget modeling, Job Cost, Net Assets, USG contracting a plus
  • Experience with financial & Accounting technology platforms, preferably JAMIS,  Salesforce, Zoom/Teams, Tableau and Power-BI
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Experience in leadership & relationship management
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong written and record keeping ability for reports
  • Flexible and able to operate in fast-paced, changing environment 
  • Excellent computer and database skills
  • Ability to make decisions without supervision
  • Ability to grow and change with the organization
  • Occasional travel is required
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to carry out key job functions
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs

 

Desired Experience, Skills & Background

  • Experience in a Fortune 100 financial leadership role
  • Familiarity with the military community
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps
  • Extensive experience with technology change management
