Our care teams travel directly to patients who reside in Assisted Living, Memory Care and Group Home communities throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and Florida and are supported by clinical operations and administrative colleagues who work remotely or at our corporate offices in Stillwater, Minnesota, and Tampa, Florida.

Position Overview:

Bluestone Physician Services is seeking a hands-on, high-impact Manager of Reporting & Analytics to lead, optimize, and drive our analytics capabilities. As a "working leader," you will combine tactical execution and team management with active, hands-on analytical problem-solving. You will manage a dedicated small team of analysts while embedding directly with operational leaders to transform raw clinical, financial, and operational data into proactive business intelligence.
The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare expertise, strong statistical acumen, process improvement skills, and a forward-thinking approach to modern technology—including the use of generative AI tools. You will serve as the primary bridge between complex quantitative data and real-world operational decision-making, ensuring actionable insights reach our patients, members, and organization.

Schedule: Full time position

Location: This is a remote, work-from-home position. Candidates MUST be based in one of Bluestone’s core markets: Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Florida. Occasional travel to our downtown Stillwater, MN office may be required for key meetings.

Salary: $105,000 - $115,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Hands-On Execution

  • Lead and Mentor: Manage, resource, and develop a team of 3 analysts, balancing team workload, optimizing capacity, and setting clear delivery standards.
  • Deliver Hands-On Analyses: Personally perform complex analytics, data modeling, and presentation development alongside your team leadership duties.
  • Drive Proactive Intelligence: Transition the analytics function from a reactive request-fulfilling department to a forward-looking, predictive intelligence engine.
  • Accelerate Delivery Pace: Optimize analytical workflows and rapid-iteration methodologies to keep pace with rapid enterprise growth without sacrificing analytical rigor.

Business Partnering & Storytelling

  • Partner with Leadership: Act as a strategic thought partner to departmental leaders, helping them define what data is needed, how to capture it, and how to execute on business goals.
  • Translate Workflows to Data Needs: Deeply immerse in operational workflows to contextualize data anomalies and advocate for specific data architecture adjustments that drive business success.
  • Drive Data Fluency: Conduct coaching, formal training, and change management initiatives to elevate data literacy and maximize end-user adoption of analytics tools across the organization.

Data Strategy, BI & Governance

  • Contribute to Strategy: Support the execution of a comprehensive data analytics and business intelligence strategy aligned with Bluestone’s short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Build Self-Service Infrastructure: Help design, deploy, and educate on scalable self-service BI tools and dashboards to give operational leaders ready access to critical metrics.
  • Support Data Governance: Collaborate to enforce a robust data governance framework and quality assurance practices to guarantee data integrity.
  • Standardize Data Ingestion: Streamline data management protocols for external feeds to optimize downstream analytical efficiency.

Advanced Analytics & Innovation

  • Apply Rigorous Statistical Acumen: Utilize advanced statistical methods (variance, correlation, statistical significance) to bridge quantitative findings with real-world logic, clearly demonstrating bottom-line impact to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build Proactive Monitoring: Create systematic monitoring systems to continuously surface operational, clinical, and financial trends.
  • Leverage Modern AI & Tech: Champion the integration of modern AI platforms (e.g., Google Gemini, advanced LLMs) and modern analytics stacks to dramatically accelerate analytical output and problem-solving speed.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification/Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or Data related field with relevant certifications preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional analytics experience, with at least 1-2 years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing an analytics team or high-profile cross-functional projects.
  • Healthcare Expertise: 3+ years of dedicated analytics experience within the healthcare industry (provider groups, value-based care, senior living, or managed care preferred).
  • Hands-On Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise with modern data stack tools, including advanced SQL, BI platforms - Looker Experience Preferred, and statistical packages/languages (Python or R).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Active experience or demonstrated agility in leveraging modern AI productivity tools to optimize workflow speed.
  • Outstanding ability to translate complex numerical concepts into intuitive summaries, visual dashboards, and actionable business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of guiding high-performing teams, driving strategic initiatives, and managing cross-functional operations to achieve organizational goals.
  • Proven Track Record: Ability to share a portfolio or specific examples of past analytical work, data visualizations, and presentations delivered to stakeholders or client-facing partners.
  • Work Style: Must thrive in a high-velocity, remote environment acting simultaneously as an individual contributor and a team leader.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with Bluestone’s mission and operating philosophies
