ABOUT THE ROLE:
BlueVine is seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting local development teams, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment processes, and maintaining robust infrastructure. This role involves working closely with local developers, as well as collaborating with international teams in Israel and the United States.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Support Local Development Teams:

- Work directly with local development teams to understand their infrastructure and deployment needs.
- Assist in optimizing development workflows, automating build and deployment processes, and resolving issues.
- Provide support for setting up and maintaining development, testing, and staging environments.
- AWS Cloud Expertise: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in managing a wide range of AWS services, and understanding their capabilities, limitations, and best practices. Implement and optimize AWS solutions to enhance system scalability, performance, and security.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaaC): Utilize IaaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure that infrastructure code meets scalability, security, and performance requirements.
- Continuous Delivery (CD) Support: Work closely with development teams to support and enhance constant delivery pipelines.
- Production and Staging Support: Respond promptly to production and staging incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues affecting system reliability.
- Support for Research and Development (R&D) and Data Services: Provide infrastructure support for a diverse range of services related to research and development, ensuring reliability and performance. Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure the availability and scalability of data processing and storage solutions.
- Advanced Observability: Implement and maintain advanced observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Sentry, and New Relic. Develop and enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to provide comprehensive visibility into the infrastructure's performance and health.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Engage in ad-hoc tasks related to production and staging environments, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to ensure system stability. Participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents outside of regular working hours.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- 5+ years in DevOps/SRE position.
- Extensive experience in deploying, managing and optimizing AWS cloud environments.
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools and practices (Terraform, Helm).
- Proven experience with docker and containers orchestration platforms (Kubenretes, ECS Fargate etc.).
- Experience in scripting (Bash / Python).
- Experience with Monitoring and Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic etc).
- Comprehensive Knowledge of CI/CD and tools (Jenkins, Github actions, ArgoCD etc.).
- Experience in microservices architecture.
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related field - nice to have
