JOB DESCRIPTION:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Take ownership of key aspects of the closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Perform account and transaction reconciliations, identifying and autonomously resolving discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Accurately record revenues ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Partner with Bluevine's Risk team to quantify and analyze allowance for credit losses
  • Manage accounts receivable for Bluevine's marketplace partnerships
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis on P&L activity, identifying significant changes and trends for management review
  • Perform bank reconciliations for various cash accounts
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation through collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving increased operational efficiency
  • Prepare supporting schedules for annual financial statement audit
  • Enhance documentation of processes
  • Participate in the review of internal control 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant degree
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and/or public accounting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting GL systems (Netsuite preferred)
  • Experience with database queries and an understanding of data flows
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally 
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
  • Understanding of both financial and operational controls
  • Strong analytical mind and an eye for detail 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
