Job Description

This is an overnight shift. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

About the Role:

As an Associate Team Lead for Onboarding and Credit Operations at Bluevine, you will be scaling our operations and ensuring we are meeting policy requirements. Bluevine is looking for a leader who will be responsible for the critical review of client files throughout the application process and account life-cycle. You will oversee the gathering and analyzing of data to verify the identity of Know your Customer (KYC) and Know your business (KYB) for CDD and EDD & Credit Operations. You will  work alongside a motivated team and are exposed to all aspects of FinTech operations in a high-growth startup environment. 

What you’ll do

  • Provide support for daily onboarding operations, ensuring 100% accuracy
  • Research and resolve client inquiries related to existing accounts and current onboarding applications on behalf of the CS Management team in a timely manner
  • Create standard operating procedures for risk processes
  • Leverage inter-departmental relationships to deliver elegant solutions that create operational synergies
  • Support with application processing and improve procedures as a subject matter expert
  • Analyze bank data, conduct KYB and KYC on all applicants within the required SLAs
  • Work within your function as a leader to partner teams
  • Work on difficult assignments that require independent judgment and analysis & seek out opportunities to automate or simplify complex processes
  • You will be expected to consistently deliver useful feedback to your direct reports,  peers, and manager in a way that strengthens relationships and enables projects to advance more quickly
  • Lead and direct group conversations around complex problems, goals, and ideas. You keep the team on track and focused on delivering actionable next steps
  • Assist analysts to perform extensive due diligence using internal Database and public domain in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Manage a team of analysts and ensure efficient and effective onboarding procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews of onboarding procedures to ensure they remain up to date and effective

What we look for

  • 4+ years of DDA Onboarding / Credit Risk experience, ideally within the credit / DDA, consumer/business lending, banking, or similar spaces.
  • Leadership experience within banking operations is a plus
  • OFAC / Sanctions related experience is a plus
  • Electronic/FinTech or Financial Services experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting
  • Proficiently uses Excel to create spreadsheets, models, and reports
  • Relishes solving tough problems that have no obvious solutions and deals well with ambiguity
  • Proficiently uses Excel to create spreadsheets, models, and reports
  • Strong problem-solving skills & able to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Impeccable judgment and acute attention to detail
