This is a hybrid roleAt Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join us as an integral part of the Accounting team at Bluevine! We are building an elite team of smart and driven individuals to deliver timely and accurate reporting, strong controls, and scalable processes as we grow.

We are seeking an India-based Senior Accountant to support U.S. and India entity accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable management, bank reconciliations, and U.S. OPEX close support. This role will provide a review level for AP work (performed by an Accountant in India), resolve exceptions, and help strengthen controls and documentation standards across teams and time zones.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

U.S. OPEX accounting support

  • Maintain schedules and reconciliations for key OPEX-related balance sheet accounts, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and receivables/clearing accounts.
  • Coordinate with U.S. stakeholders to obtain accrual inputs and resolve open items quickly and accurately.
  • Prepare and/or review bank reconciliations for operating accounts; research reconciling items and clear aged items on a timely basis.
  • Support month-end close activities for U.S. operating expenses, including accrual support, reclasses, and variance follow-ups within assigned timelines.
  • Support NetSuite AR for Bluevine Lender Network referral revenue stream and resolution of billing/cash application exceptions.
  • Support partner payout processing by validating inputs and approvals and executing payments

Accounts payable oversight (U.S. and India)

  • Own AP quality, timeliness, and documentation standards across U.S. and India entities.
  • Review and quality-check AP processing performed by an Accountant II
  • Use Airbase (U.S.) and RazorpayX (India) to review invoice validation, coding, approvals, and payment batches/exceptions.
  • Investigate and resolve AP exceptions (duplicate invoices, credits, pricing/terms issues) and serve as an escalation point for vendor inquiries.
  • Perform vendor master and bank-detail change checks to support segregation of duties and approval compliance.
  • Validate GST invoice requirements (e.g., GSTIN details and appropriate tax components such as IGST/CGST/SGST where applicable) and maintain supporting records.
  • Support correct withholding (TDS) treatment for applicable vendor payments, maintaining documentation for review and audit support.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors as needed to resolve AP-related tax questions.

Controls and process improvement

  • Identify recurring issues and streamline workflows using checklists, templates, automation, and control enhancements across AP, bank recs, and close support.

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); CPA/ACCA/CMA a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in US based accounting operations
  • Knowledge of US GAAP for group reporting
  • Advanced Excel and solid ERP skills (NetSuite ideal; SAP/Oracle/Dynamics acceptable)
  • Data-driven: comfortable with large datasets for reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Excellent english skills
  • Clear, confident communicator who collaborates across time zones and thrives in a fast-changing environment
