This is a hybrid roleAt Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic product team. In this critical role, you will be the end-to-end owner of our proprietary internal tools that powers our daily business operations. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and strategic roadmap. You will collaborate closely with the Risk, Customer Success and Compliance teams to ensure seamless product performance, and ops efficiency  across our global teams. This position is ideal for a fintech veteran who understands how to bridge the gap between complex backend platform data and the front-end operational workflows that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership: Lead the development and maintenance of Bluevine’s Internal tools and all associated features. Act as the primary owner of data sync for different systems, ensuring data integrity and real-time consistency across all systems.
  • Workflow Optimization: Partner closely with Risk, CS, and other ops teams to automate and optimize high-stakes workflows that directly impact our ability to scale.
  • Compliance & Security: Collaborate with Legal and Compliance (LnC) to define Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), manage sensitive data visibility
  • Engineering Partnership: Act as the direct counterpart to a dedicated engineering team. You will work with the team to groom and plan efficiently, ensuring the team is focused on high-leverage features and a robust pipeline.
  • Advocate for the Internal User: Obsess over the "Operational Experience" for our global teams, using shadowing and qualitative feedback to reduce task completion time and cognitive load
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve synchronization bottlenecks or tool-based inefficiencies that hinder the productivity of our Ops teams.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, data analysis or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of product management  experience, with at least 3 years in the fintech industry or data management products. knowledge of financial and accounting flows is a strong advantage 
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of operational workflows and financial data flows.

Technical Skills

  • Data Management: Proficiency in SQL and a strong understanding of API integrations and data synchronization logic.
  • Platform Thinking: Ability to translate operational "pain points" into scalable platform features.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions regarding feature prioritization and system health.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects using tools like Jira; comfortable working in an Agile environment.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to explain technical platform concepts to non-technical Ops and Sales stakeholders.
