This is a hybrid roleAt Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Disputes Operations Analyst II, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of client dispute claims, including those related to debit cards, credit cards, and non-debit transactions. This role focuses on reviewing and validating claim data, filing disputes with external vendors, and ensuring each case is handled accurately and in accordance with regulatory and network requirements. You will play a key role in investigating transaction activity, assessing claim legitimacy, and taking appropriate action to mitigate financial and operational risk. Additionally, you will contribute to strengthening dispute processes, identifying trends, and supporting improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and the overall client experience.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage the full dispute lifecycle, from initial claim intake to final resolution, for debit card, credit card, and non-debit related disputes. 
  • Accurately file dispute claims with third-party vendors and financial institutions.
  • Conduct meticulous data review and analysis to validate the legitimacy of all submitted claims in accordance with Business Bank requirements.
  • Lead comprehensive investigations into unauthorized transactions, focusing on identifying patterns of card fraud, account takeover (ATO) activity, and other emerging risk factors such as dispute abuse. 
  • Ensure all dispute processing activities adhere to applicable Network, NACHA, and Banking regulations (i.e. Reg E, Reg Z).
  • Maintain clear, professional, and effective written communication when interacting with internal stakeholders, partner banks, and vendors to facilitate claim resolution. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Risk, Fraud Operations, and Compliance teams to share insights and implement control improvements. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, take ownership of implementing changes, and contribute to the continuous strengthening of BlueVine's dispute resolution framework. 
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize a high-volume daily queue of claims while maintaining accuracy and adherence to strict service-level agreements (SLAs).

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in fraud operations, specifically in dispute resolution within a fintech or banking environment preferred. 
  • Demonstrated expertise and strong working knowledge of Network rules (Visa/Mastercard), NACHA rules, and U.S. Banking regulations (Reg E, Reg Z).
  • Proven ability to perform complex root-cause analysis and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with an emphasis on creating detailed and accurate documentation for internal records and external correspondence.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
