About the Role

We are seeking a SEO & Web Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing team and take ownership of optimizing Bluevine's web channel. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end management of site content updates, collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, copy, design, and web development teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution of initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing SEO strategies to drive organic growth and enhance online visibility for Bluevine’s financial products and services. Additionally, you will focus on achieving conversion goals while maintaining a user-centered approach to deliver engaging, seamless, and effective web experiences.

Bringing a deep understanding of SEO best practices, project management, UX principles, and testing methodologies, you will oversee the structure and strategy of our site to deliver engaging and impactful digital experiences that align with our business objectives. Proficiency in Google Analytics and web reporting will be essential for tracking performance, identifying trends, and driving data-informed decisions to continually optimize the site.

What you’ll do

  • SEO Optimization
    • Collaborate with SEO agencies and internal teams to develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies, focusing on on-page optimization, keyword alignment, and technical enhancements to boost website rankings, increase organic traffic, and drive measurable business outcomes.
    • Stay current with search engine algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging SEO best practices to ensure continuous optimization and improvement.
    • Direct off-page SEO initiatives, including outreach and link-building campaigns, to improve domain authority and referral traffic.
    • Author long term strategies that allow Bluevine to increase reach and authority generative AI search results.
  • Web Content Management
    • Manage and execute site content updates, coordinating with product, copy, design, and development teams to bring new products and features to market.
    • Act as a central project manager for web updates, ensuring all deliverables are prioritized and aligned with organizational goals.
  • User Experience (UX) Improvement and Conversion Optimization
    • Oversee the structure and strategy of the site, ensuring an intuitive and effective user journey.
    • Identify opportunities for A/B testing, set up experiments, and analyze results to drive continuous improvement in conversion rates.
    • Analyze website traffic data and provide recommendations for site updates, leveraging UX best practices to enhance engagement.
  • Web Analytics and Reporting
    • Leverage Google Analytics and other web analytics tools to monitor site performance, traffic, and user behavior.
    • Generate and interpret web reporting to provide actionable insights that inform content strategy, UX enhancements, and overall web performance improvements.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience & Skills
    • 5+ years in SEO, web content management, CRO, UX Design or a related role.
    • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to completion.
    • Proven track record with SEO optimization, including keyword research, on-page best practices, and backlink strategies to improve search rankings and drive organic growth.
    • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
    • Proficiency in Google Analytics and other reporting tools, with the ability to track metrics, analyze trends, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
    • Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, including creating and managing tickets, prioritizing tasks, and tracking progress effectively.
    • Familiarity with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO) and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
    • Ability to provide actionable UX recommendations and govern site strategy effectively.
    • Demonstrated ability to stay current with web technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting insights and recommendations to various audiences.
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms, basic HTML/CSS, and web development processes.

New Hire Base Salary Range: $86,700 - $104,000
This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus.
