About the Role

Bluevine is seeking an Account Executive with a consultative sales background and a winning attitude to join our Checking & Payments Sales team. In this role, you’ll engage SMB owners, guiding them to explore, evaluate, and adopt Bluevine as their primary checking account and financial management platform. Success requires exceptional sales skills, a deep understanding of SMB challenges, and a proactive, self-starter approach. At its core, this role is about building trusted relationships that empower small business owners to confidently switch to Bluevine as their financial management hub.If you are a highly motivated achiever who thrives on navigating the unique needs of small businesses, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Grow the number of SMB owners using Bluevine’s banking platform through high-quality consultative selling and proactive outbound calling, while consistently meeting monthly quotas with customer needs at the forefront.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective customers early in their Bluevine journey, developing rapport and sales influence.
  • Conduct thorough needs analyses to identify customer challenges, translating Bluevine’s features into clear, tangible benefits that demonstrate compelling ROI.
  • Deliver customized product walkthroughs across our full suite—including business checking, bill pay, cards, and lending solutions—facilitating rapid adoption and ensuring customer success.
  • Support business owners during their evaluation and trial of Bluevine’s platform, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the customer.
  • Capture, address, and learn from customer objections and feedback to continuously refine and strengthen your sales strategies.
  • Manage your pipeline with smart time management and prioritization strategies to maximize efficiency and impact.
  • Drive ongoing customer interactions focused on feature adoption, platform utilization, and revenue growth.
  • Consistently achieve your goals by effectively conveying value to prospects and customers, optimizing your time management, and identifying opportunities to enhance the sales process.
  • Help shape Bluevine’s sales playbook by identifying best practices and suggesting enhancements to our sales methodology.

What We Look For

  • Experience: 3+ years in inside sales targeting SMB owners, preferably in FinTech or SaaS, with a consistent record in the top 25%.
  • Passion for Empowerment: Genuine enthusiasm for helping business owners simplify operations, save time and money, and drive growth through innovative financial tools.
  • Consultative Sales Skills: Proven ability to drive conversions across multi-stage sales cycles with business customers of varying size and complexity.
  • Strong Pitch & Presentation Skills: Exceptional at demonstrating products, linking solutions to specific customer needs, and articulating clear ROI.
  • SMB Acumen: Deep understanding of small business priorities, challenges, and financial management preferences.
  • Teamwork & Adaptability: Quick thinking, fast learning, and a collaborative approach to success.
  • Self-Management: Excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Drive: Entrepreneurial mindset with a relentless focus on impact and results.
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required.

Level II (2+ years of experience)
New Hire Base Salary Range: $62,220 - $74,640
New Hire On-Target Earnings (i.e. Base Salary plus Commissions if achieved) Range: $103,700 - $124,400

Level III (5+ years of experience)
New Hire Base Salary Range: $78,240 - $95,820
New Hire On-Target Earnings (i.e. Base Salary plus Commissions if achieved) Range: $130,400 - $159,700

The compensation range for this role will depend on the level at which a candidate is ultimately brought onto the team. Final offer amounts and level will be determined by factors such as skills, experience, and market alignment.
