Job Description
Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Process Improvement Specialist III to join our team, supporting a large program at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The main responsibility for this position is to provide operations, training, functional, and logistics support and deliverables to organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Highly experienced in gathering and analyzing data to solve complex problems and produce finished reports, such as requirements definition and operations research.
- Lead the planning and execution of projects from inception through completion.
- Supervise multi-faceted research and technical support to projects and programs.
- Develop and monitor project tasks and schedules.
- Manage the work efforts of large project teams, including Process Improvement Specialists at level 1 and 2.
- Perform with a moderate degree of latitude for unreviewed actions and decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8 years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s Degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on federal contracts, especially with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large project teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Eligibility:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.
Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $85,000.
