Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager to actively lead strategic healthcare initiatives within integrated delivery systems. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in Value-Based Care, healthcare analytics, and program management. The successful candidate will drive performance improvement, support care transformation, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize outcomes across the continuum of care. You will be responsible for analyzing project-related problems and creating innovative solutions that involve schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management. As a Program Manager supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, you will play a vital role in managing projects that enhance access to care for veterans and health care professionals. Your expertise in program and project management and ability to develop innovative solutions will contribute to the successful completion of critical projects. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare programs aligned with value-based care models.
- Analyze clinical, financial, and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to support care coordination, population health, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
- Leads a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects.
- Responsible for managing financial budget and performance of the project to include evaluating resource needs based on scope, timelines and deliverables.
- Monitor program performance against KPIs and regulatory benchmarks (e.g., CMS, NCQA, HEDIS).
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Serve as a liaison between consulting teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to organizational knowledge development.
- Analyze new and complex project-related problems, creating innovative solutions that involve schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management.
- Monitor project progress, adjusting as necessary to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare consulting, program management, or healthcare analytics.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
- Proven experience working within integrated healthcare systems and value-based care environments.
- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery models, payer-provider relationships, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI) and project management software.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be able to report on site 5 days per week Monday – Friday.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with government/civilian agencies or in the health care industry.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience in managing virtual or telehealth projects.
Eligibility:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role
Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.
Salary range: $145,000 - $175,000
