About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to partner with our Account Executives in driving new business opportunities, allowing MSPs to protect their customers with managed detections, guided response, and 24/7 security operations.
As a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, you will drive business growth by understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions and effectively articulating the value of our products or services. The ideal candidate possesses broad technical knowledge across various cybersecurity domains, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping organizations resolve complex security challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Executives to effectively communicate the technical value of our cybersecurity consulting services during prospect calls, demos, and presentations
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase key features and functionalities and address technical questions and concerns from customers
- Contribute to sales strategies, pricing decisions and contract negotiations based on technical considerations
- Hands-on experience working cross-product domain with tools such as Linux, Windows, AD, logging, firewalls, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, CrowdStrike, VMware Carbon Black, Duo Security, Office365, Okta, and other security tools
- Learn about customers' successes and challenges, sharing customer feedback within Blumira, and advocating for customer interests
- Provide the technical knowledge to help customers understand how Blumira can help them meet their business goals
- Simplify complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant language that is accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Stay current on cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to inform customer discussions and internal enablement
- Study customer needs, pain points and business challenges to create a customized proposal with the Account Executive team
Required Key Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of proven experience in a customer-facing pre-sales position in the cybersecurity industry; you’ve consistently partnered with Account Executives to close deals and can point to examples where your technical guidance directly enabled customer adoption
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in a technical pre-sales, support, or delivery role within the Managed Service Provider (MSP), Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), or Technology Service Provider (TSP) market
- Demonstrable experience in presenting technical products and services to customers, providing expert advice and troubleshooting customer queries
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt and convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with Threat Detection and Response solutions, such as SIEM, NDR, EDR, UEBA, and SOAR
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks (e.g., network/application security, cloud security, vulnerability management, compliance, security operations, managed security services)
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong discovery and consultative skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose innovative solutions

$185,000 - $200,000 USD
Base Salary
$140,000 - $150,000 USD
Variable (commission)
$45,000 - $50,000 USD
