The Growth Opportunity: As a Strategic Account Manager, you will develop long-term relationships and partnerships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor to the C-Level Executives and Key Decision Makers of an organization. This role serves as the client’s primary advocate, understanding the client’s short-term and long-term strategic objectives through in-depth analysis and continual assessment. You will partner with an Account Management Specialist, internal team members and our Partner Team to provide clients with the solutions needed to achieve their business goals.

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Champion the client relationship and promote client retention and satisfaction.
  • Provide on-going account management to our existing ERP client base by developing trusted, advisory partnerships with client decision-makers across the entire organization, including finance, sales, marketing, HR, and IT. Engage in partnership with other Blytheco stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery meetings targeted at understanding, capturing, and identifying the complex business requirements and operational objectives of the client.
  • Engage with customers at their place of business to increase client understanding and the depth of Blytheco’s relationship. Coordinate and lead in-person meetings with customer base.  Expected to include overnight travel across various regions.
  • Learn and assimilate product knowledge, target-market, and product positioning for the solutions through online and in-person training. Become an expert in the ERP sales environment. 
  • Work with both our internal and external teams to create and execute a strategy for add-on solutions and renewals.
  • Drive the sales activities for our ERP solutions, enhancements, professional services, custom development, and third-party solutions by collaborating with cross-divisional team members to deliver thought-provoking, strategic solutions that thoroughly address the needs of our clients.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales/call/meeting quotas.
  • Capture and document detailed client information and notes in our CRM tool.
  • Act as an internal project manager to ensure recommended solutions are delivered on time.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to Account Management Specialist.

Your Daily Journey to Success Includes:

  • Maintain and enhance the client experience with a cadence of touch point, follow up, and educational/informational phone calls and/or emails.
  • Schedule and conduct in-depth discovery meetings with clients and arrange customized software demonstrations.
  • Create a personalized plan of strategic engagement for each client.
  • Identify and engage with POR (Partner of Record) prospects via phone or email.
  • Obtain pricing for solutions and services, including pricing from 3rd party vendors or ISV’s
  • Enter and update client information and notes into our CRM.
  • Attend weekly team meeting, touch point meeting with manager, and company meetings, as required.
  • Schedule on-site client visits and book travel arrangements.
  • Travel to client sites (Minimum of 10 clients site visits per quarter).

Breadth of Knowledge & Experience You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of ERP or CRM software sales experience required.
  • Subject matter expertise across manufacturing, distribution, and services is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity and experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and professional presence and demeanor.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, communication, and listening skills required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and proficiency with CRM tools (Acumatica).
  • Ability to travel, as needed, is required.
