2025 MGA P.J. Boatwright Internship - Operations

Objective:
A comprehensive introduction and extensive training experience for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration with a focus on internal golf association procedures.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience using QuickBooks or other accounting software preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting skills
- Ability to learn job-related computer programs
- Excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
- Strong written, verbal and telephone skills
- Ability and willingness to work in an office environment independently and as part of a team
- Amateur (non-professional) golfer
General Duties:
- Assist Assistant Executive Director with a wide range of projects including Human Resources, technology and benefits administration
- Support accounting department with daily projects including billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Month-End Processing
- Assist with on-site operation of MGA events, championships as needed as primary duties allow • Assist in providing content to the MGA website and social media channels
- Provide support to other MGA departments as apparent or assigned
Compensation:
- $15 per hour. Eligible for overtime after 40 hours per week.
Hours:
- Full-time. Weekday hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime.
Employment:
- Employment period will be May/June through August/September. Start and end dates are flexible depending on school schedule (if applicable).
