Chief Financial Officer

Remote, US

About Bobbie

Bobbie is creating a parenting culture of confidence, not comparison. And it starts with how we choose to feed our babies. We crafted our European style infant formula with purposefully sourced, organic ingredients to give parents a product they are proud to feed their babies, direct to their doorstep. Bobbie is proud to be the only US formula that is designed to meet both FDA and EU standards.

Although 83% of parents turn to formula in the first year of their baby’s life, this is the silent majority that is often shamed for not being able to exclusively breastfeed. Co-founded by two moms and created by a team of mom scientists, nutritionists, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, the Bobbie team knows first hand that there is no one size fits all for feeding. With Bobbie, we hope you can Bottle Boldly.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and drive the financial strategy of our rapidly scaling business. We are at an inflection point in our growth, and his role will be instrumental in supporting our growth across retail, DTC, and manufacturing channels while maintaining operational excellence and financial discipline. You’ve helped build brands and know what it means to lead through step-level change moments.

What you’ll own:

Financial Strategy That Drives Growth

  • Work hand-in-hand with our CEO and cross-functional teams to build financial plans that fuel our growth ambitions
  • Maintain healthy, fully-loaded contribution margins as the business scales across retail, DTC, and manufacturing channels
  • Deliver financial reporting and forecasting that gives everyone the insights they need to make smart decisions
  • Build budgets that balance big growth bets (new manufacturing capacity, clinical trials, channel expansion) with the discipline to optimize costs
  • Manage our cash flow so we always have the runway to fund our next chapter

Capital Strategy & Allocation

  • Evaluate and execute strategic acquisitions that align with the company's growth strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial partners
  • Act as the executive lead on financial transactions and capital events, including investor storytelling, board updates, and partnership with investment bankers

Financial Planning That Powers Decisions

  • Create and manage sophisticated financial models for short and long-term business planning, including forecasting sales, expenses, and cash flow
  • Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning to stress-test growth assumptions and identify risks and opportunities
  • Provide robust data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions around growth initiatives
  • Establish KPIs and metrics that drive accountability across the organization

Executive Partnership & Strategic Leadership

  • Be a trusted strategic partner to our CEO, executive team, and Board
  • Communicate the company's growth story effectively to investors, analysts, and the market
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to align financial strategy with overall business objectives
  • Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives
  • Lead beyond the Finance function, flexing into operational and organization areas as needed to help the business scale smartly
  • Bring strong change management leadership, with experience navigating rapid scale or business transformation

Build a World-Class Finance Team

  • Build and lead a finance team that's as passionate about our mission as they are about the numbers
  • Create a culture where people own their work, keep learning, and innovate on how we do finance
  • Put in place the systems, processes, and controls that let us scale without breaking

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance

  • Understand and optimize the financial dynamics of owned manufacturing, including COGS, overhead allocation, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Manage inventory, working capital, and operational efficiency within manufacturing operations
  • Establish comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, monitor, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience at the enterprise level in growth-stage environments
  • Track record of active Board involvement and partnership with investment bankers and external stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and take on cross-functional responsibilities outside of traditional Finance scope

  • Experience building and leading high-performing finance teams in growth environments
  • Proficiency with advanced financial planning tools, ERP systems, and business intelligence platforms
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to boards and investors

Nice to Have:

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and supply chain finance
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations or other relevant regulatory frameworks

  • Deliver Ounce by Ounce - Our customers have entrusted us to feed their babies. We lose sleep over the details, so they don’t have to.
  • Don’t Assume - We embrace our unique perspectives, withhold judgment, and find beauty in the paths that brought us all to Bobbie. Our strength is celebrating each other and our collective voice.

Benefits:

  • Competitive stock options
  • 401k with employer match
  • Employee medical, dental, and vision insurance 100% covered by Bobbie, with options to add dependents through a subsidized pre-tax deduction

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
